H1B quota for this year is running out very very shortly. So, if you are planning to get one filed, better do it soon... immediately... today... NOW!!!!

If you hold Masters or Doctorate from the US institution (it has to be US school, as the folks here don't give much credence to foreign degrees), then you are in good shape as there is additional 20,000 H1B visas reserved for folks like you.

I think mine has been filed. But i do not have a US degree, however, i do have quite a lot of experience. I really don't have any idea about the processing part.........

If your H1 B has been filed and you have already got your SRC number, then you are fine. Your seat is already reserved.

How do we get the SRC number? The company that selected me is doing all this. I really don't have any idea on this. Could you suggest me how to find it out?

Ask with your employer for the number. They should have received Notice of Receipt.
