Hello Room to Read enthusiasts!

We are happy to announce that Room to Read is being featured on the Frontline/World's website. The 15-minute video titled "Nepal: A Girl's Life" chronicles the life of Sabina Timilsinain, a young Nepalese girl, who is a part of our Room to Grow Scholarship Program. The reporter followed Sabina through her daily life including visits to her home and school. This video clearly demonstrates the kind of impact Room to Read is having on hundreds of thousands of children around the world. You can view the piece on the PBS website at http://www.pbs.org/frontlineworld/rough/2007/06/nepal_a_girls_l.html .

PBS has not yet decided whether the piece will air on national television. They are monitoring how many hits the website receives before making the decision. We need your help in making this happen.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS LINK TO 10 PEOPLE IN YOUR ADDRESS BOOK TO HELP US GET THIS PIECE BROADCAST ON PBS!

Thank you for all you do for Room to Read and for millions of children in the developing world!

Warmly,

The Room to Read Team

Blue Moon -

I did my bit but whoops looks like it didn't make it to tomorrow's run:

"Our final broadcast of the season airs June 26 with four new stories from a small planet: seeking justice in Indonesia, hunting whales in the Faroe Islands, landmine-sniffing rats in Tanzania, and cartoon super heroes from Kuwait."

Oh well, maybe next time ...

Thanks for posting the link though. Good stuff.

:)
